Two people, including a former Chamber of Commerce executive, were released on bond after being arrested May 15 on multiple counts of child endangerment, according to the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office jail report.
Amy Lee Miller, 45, and Timothy Joseph Richard, 44, were charged with felony abandoning or endangering a child younger than 15 with intent, knowledge, recklessness, or criminal negligence.
Miller was charged with 10 counts related to incidents dated March 7 and was released on a $250,000 bond. Richard was charged with six counts related to incidents dated May 14 and was released on a $150,000 bond.
If convicted, penalties range from state jail felonies punishable by 180 days to two years in prison to second-degree felonies punishable by two to 20 years, depending on the level of intent and danger involved.
Miller, who was named executive director of the Silsbee Chamber of Commerce in October 2025, resigned in March.
Other Hardin County arrests reported included:
- Nicholas Jamal Lewis, 23, arrested May 14 on two counts of sexual assault of a child related to incidents in August 2022. No bond had been set as of press time.
- Billy Ashton Wade Perkins, 30, arrested May 19 on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child involving sexual contact. His bond was set at $110,000.
In Orange County, Alexander Michael Frithiof, 25, was arrested May 18 for alleged online solicitation of a minor, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office jail roster. His bond was set at $750,000.
And, in Jasper County, a Buna man was arrested May 14 on 12 counts of prohibited sexual conduct after being indicted by a Jasper County grand jury.
According to Sheriff Chuck Havard, the grand jury returned 12 indictments against Nathan Paul Woods, 63, who remained in the Jasper County Jail on a $2.4 million bond as of press time.
Havard said the charges stem from an investigation by Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Jason McClelland and the Jasper County District Attorney’s Office regarding incidents involving a juvenile victim that allegedly occurred in Buna during 2022 and 2023.
