Jan. 15, a Jefferson County jury sentenced Walter “Loddie” Naymola to 10 years of probation and a $10,000 fine for aggravated assault dating back to a Beaumont multi- vehicle crash in 2022.
Despite defense claims that his wealth prompted an “overzealous” prosecution, the same jury found Walter “Loddie” Naymola guilty of aggravated assault Jan. 14. Prosecutors demonstrated that Naymola drove drunk, with a blood-alcohol level three times the legal limit, at speeds of more than 110 mph, then crashed his truck into multiple vehicles, injuring more than 10 people. After years of delays, rejected appeals, and arguments that the case should have been treated as a lesser DWI, jurors returned a guilty verdict in less than two hours.
As part of the guilty verdict Jan. 14, Naymola’s bond was revoked and he spent the night at the Jefferson County jail pending sentencing.
