Senior ranking on hold

Nederland City Council provides residential relief on utilities

In a meeting held via video conference April 6, the Nederland City Council approved ordinances to provide relief on residents' utility bills. The council unanimously approved a motion to suspend all late fees for 60 days, as well as postponing all utility terminations for the given time.

COVID-19 death in Port Arthur

April 6, the City of Port Arthur Health Department (PAHD) reported the first COVID-19 related death of a Port Arthur resident. The gentleman was between the ages of 45-50 years old and had underlying health issues, the department reports. He had no known travel history.

TxDOT: Expect lane closures on 69 this week
