Senior ranking on hold

The Senior Class of 2020 ranking for purposes of graduation distinctions, which was scheduled to take place after the close of the 3rd Nine Weeks grading cycle, is temporarily postponed due to the COVID-19 school closure, according to a Beaumont ISD high school announcement.

“The district will work to ensure time is afforded for all grades to be reviewed and corrections made as necessary before spring ranking occurs,” a release to BISD parents this week states. “Additionally, applicable policies, regulations and protocols pertaining to the ranking will also be reviewed and adjusted in accordance with specific COVID-19 guidance from the TEA (Texas Education Agency) and other legislative bodies.”
