Call center approving tests with loosened restrictions

Due to confirmed COVID-19 cases among asymptomatic patients, the six-county coalition announced loosened restrictions on those who are given the go-ahead to get tested at either its Silsbee or Jack Brooks Regional Airport locations at a press conference Monday afternoon.

Beaumont City Council to request nearly $300,000 to purchase PPE

PAPD identifies man slain in home invasion

Police have identified the Port Arthur man who was shot and killed in his home at Valley View Apartments on Twin City Highway April 15. Jaylon Howard, 26, of Port Arthur was shot during a home invasion sometime before 10:30 p.m., when PAPD officers were dispatched to the apartment complex.
