Beaumont confirms 57 new COVID-19 cases

Beaumont received 57 positive COVID-19 test results June 26, according to a news release from Mayor Becky Ames. This marks a single day record in the city.  "This is not unexpected, but it is a clear indication that the virus continues to be widespread," the release reads.

More COVID-19 cases confirmed in Beaumont

Beaumont Mayor Becky Ames and the city’s health department are reporting 12 additional positive confirmed cases of COVID-19 on June 25. June 26, a COVID-19 mobile testing site will be set up 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Roy Guess Elementary School, 8055 Old Voth Rd.

Beaumont council votes to remove Confederate statue

At the June 23 meeting of the Beaumont City Council, the elected officials voted to remove the unnamed Confederate soldier statue erected at Wiess Park. Council members Audwin Samuel and Randy Feldschau placed the matter on the agenda, asking for the statue to be removed and stored.
