Sept. 28, Beaumont ISD received confirmation that a staff member who was on location at Pietzsch-MacArthur tested positive for COVID-19, according to a news release.  The individual was last present at the facility on September 18.

Driver dies in Park Street crash

Around 3 a.m. Sept. 26, Beaumont police responded to a crash in the 1300 block of Park Street, according to a news release. Officers arrived to find the involved vehicle completely engulfed in flames. The investigation revealed the driver was traveling at a high rate of speed before losing control.

Beaumonter arrested for murder

Around 2:30 p.m. Sept. 26, Beaumont police responded to the 2400 block of E. Lucas in reference to a shooting, according to a news release. Upon arrival, officers found a deceased victim, identified as Kevin Kennebrew, 49, of Beaumont.
