BPD investigates morning shooting

Just before 6 a.m. Feb. 16, Beaumont police responded to the 100 block of E. Florida in reference to shots fired, according to a news release. Upon arrival, officers  made contact with a 45-year-old man who was standing outside of his apartment.

DPS reports icy bridges

The Veterans and Rainbow bridges were covered in nearly an inch of ice and snow as of 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to DPS trooper Reagan Droddy. Ice on the bridges was slowly melting and refreezing, Droddy reported.
