The public is invited to attend Beaumont ISD’s Bilingual Parent Resource Night on Thursday, Oct. 27, at Caldwood Elementary, 102 Berkshire. The event will kick off with free health screenings by the Mexican Consulate starting at 5 p.m., followed by the program at 6 p.m.

After more than 30 years of service to the citizens of Southeast Texas, Port Neches Police Chief Paul Lemoine has effectively entered retirement, wishing good luck to his successor, Chief Cheri’ Griffith. Friday, Oct. 21, served as Lemoine’s last official day at Port Neches Police Department.

Two local men arrested by JCSO

Traffic stop in Orange yields arrest

Detectives with the Orange County Narcotics Division stopped a vehicle on FM 1442 near Interstate 10 on Oct. 19, arresting a man on drug and firearm charges, according to Orange County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Holly Corley.
