Evadale man found deceased

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) reported an Evadale man, who was last seen Nov. 19, was found dead on Nov. 22. Julian Boyd, 37, was found deceased after an extensive search of the hunting club where he was reported missing, according to a press release.

Lamar alum goes to space posthumously

Nov. 30, Beaumont native and Lamar University alumni Jay Clinton Hall finally fulfilled his lifelong dream of going to space when a portion of his cremated remains was set for launch into space on Celestis’ Earth Rise mission, known as the Aurora Flight. Hall was born on Jan.
