Evadale man found deceased

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) reported an Evadale man, who was last seen Nov. 19, was found dead on Nov. 22.

Julian Boyd, 37, was found deceased after an extensive search of the hunting club where he was reported missing, according to a press release.

In the press release, JCSO stated Boyd was last seen on Nov. 19 around 5 p.m., in the area of County Road 876 off FM 1131 in Evadale.

His family members saw him walking into the 4 Mile Hunting Club. Boyd’s body was found after an extensive search of the hunting club, according to the release.

Sheriff Mitchel Newman reported there were no obvious injuries on Boyd’s body and that Pct. 6 Justice of the Peace Steve Conner ordered an autopsy. JCSO noted the investigation is ongoing.

JCSO thanked to the Jasper County Emergency Corps, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office for ariel search assistance, Evadale Volunteer Fire Department and citizens who took time searching in cold and rainy conditions.
