Two Nederland police officers have been recognized for their heroic actions in saving a man's life following a three vehicle wreck on Twin City Highway at Nederland Avenue on June 18. Officer Christian Shetley removed an unconscious man from one of the vehicles and began CPR. Officer Tanner Thompson arrived on the scene to assist with the CPR until EMS arrived. Their actions saved the man's life. A medical emergency is believed to have caused the wreck Both officers were hnoroed by the Nederland Police Department on Monday.
