Juvenile injured in ATV crash in Jefferson County

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) is investigating a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) on Camellia Drive, near Oleander Avenue, in Jefferson County.

According to DPS, the preliminary investigation indicated that, at 4:40 p.m. on Jan. 15, a 2017 Honda ATV was traveling east when a passenger fell off the back of the ATV as it was traveling around a curve.

The driver, a 16-year-old juvenile, and a 14-year-old passenger, were not injured, but another 14-year-old juvenile was transported to Memorial Hermann for treatment.

DPS reported there were no additional details available at press time.
