Christus Health Offers Saturday Sports Clinic

Christus Health-West Beaumont is Offering students athletes injured in a Friday night game to receive specialized orthopedic care with a specialized Saturday clinic. The sports clinic will provide immediate evaluation and treatment for athletes trhoughout the high school fall sports season.  The clinic will be held upstairs at the Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute at CHRISTUS Health – West Beaumont, located at 6025 Metropolitan Dr. It will be open every Saturday for 12 weeks, running from Aug. 29 to Nov. 14. This clinic ensures injured athletes can be seen quickly after an injury they may have received during a weeknight game. 

"Our Saturday Sports Clinic allows us to evaluate injuries immediately, provide an accurate diagnosis and start treatment right away, helping athletes recover safely while giving families peace of mind,” said Dr. Clayton Hodges, orthopedic surgeon with CHRISTUS Health

The location of the clinic offers more than just orthopedic evaluations. There are on-site emergency services and physical therapy services, giving patients access to comprehensive and personal care all in one convenient location. 

"This clinic is truly a one-stop shop for sports injuries," Hodges said. "Whether an athlete needs emergency care or an orthopedic evaluation to get back in the game, our team is here to provide seamless care from injury through recovery." 

CHRISTUS Health partners with athletic trainers across Southeast Texas to provide timely orthopedic care for student athletes. Athletic trainers refer injured athletes to the Saturday Sports Clinic to receive next day evaluation and treatment.
