Stephen King’s Silver Bullet

Night 2 of Beaumont Events’ “13 Nights of Halloween” features Stephen King’s “Silver Bullet,” a 1985 American horror film based on King’s book, “Cycle of the Werewolf.” Starring Gary Busey, Everett McGill, Corey Haim and others, brutal killings start to plague a close-knit small-town community.

Suspiria in 4K

Beaumont Events’ “13 Nights of Halloween” at the Jefferson Theatre begins Tuesday, Oct. 1, with the showing 1977 Italian epic supernatural horror film, “Suspiria” in 4K.

Saturn Star Party

Join a Village Creek State Park Ranger to learn about the night sky, star gazing and get a look at the planet so special they put a ring on it Saturday, Sept. 28, at 8:30 p.m. Event will meet near the head of Water Oak Trail (best parking will be at the Group Camping area).

Dachtoberfest

“Bark” your calendars for the annual Dachtoberfest Party at Little Woodrow’s. Registration for races begin at 1 p.m. and the wiener dog races start at 3 p.m. Dachshund racing were first held in Australia in the 1970s.

Harbor Foundation Butterfly Release

Harbor Foundation will host their 12th annual Butterfly Release on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The community is invited to attend the family day with free admission, food, crafts, and many kid-focused activities.

TRF BBQ Weekend

Texas Rice Festival is just a few days away, but before the excited begins, TRF will host their annual IBCA BBQ Cookoff Weekend on Sept. 27-28 at Winnie-Stowell Park. Cooking will happen from noon-6 p.m. on Friday followed by a jackpot fajita judging. Judging will begin 11 a.m.
