Dachtoberfest

“Bark” your calendars for the annual Dachtoberfest Party at Little Woodrow’s. Registration for races begin at 1 p.m. and the wiener dog races start at 3 p.m. Dachshund racing were first held in Australia in the 1970s.

Harbor Foundation Butterfly Release

Harbor Foundation will host their 12th annual Butterfly Release on Saturday, Oct. 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The community is invited to attend the family day with free admission, food, crafts, and many kid-focused activities.

TRF BBQ Weekend

Texas Rice Festival is just a few days away, but before the excited begins, TRF will host their annual IBCA BBQ Cookoff Weekend on Sept. 27-28 at Winnie-Stowell Park. Cooking will happen from noon-6 p.m. on Friday followed by a jackpot fajita judging. Judging will begin 11 a.m.

Vidor Music Friendly Jam

The City of Vidor is hosting their second annual “Music Friendly Jam” at Conn Park that features Big Jordan Band, 1980s hair metal tribute act LA Roxx and headliner William Morgan Michael.
