A Lumberton man pleaded guilty to federal child exploitation charges in the Eastern District of Texas, according to an announcement by U.S. Attorney Damien M. Diggs on June 28. Adam Dale Isaacks, 40, pleaded guilty to four counts of transporting a minor for purposes of sexual activity before U.S.

Weed, weapons found in traffic stop

Two men were arrested June 26 after police stopped a vehicle on Threadneedle Street. The Beaumont Police Department (BPD), working in conjunction with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, searched the vehicle and found a handgun and marijuana.

A wanted fugitive ran out of gas while attempting to evade officers during a traffic stop at Brandon Avenue and Pipkin Street, reported the Beaumont Police Department (BPD). Jerrian Elam, 19, of Beaumont, was arrested after a car and foot chase June 21 at 7:38 p.m.
