Beaumont resident Linny Nixon IV, 17, was indicted on the first-degree felony charge of aggravated robbery on Aug. 9, stemming from an alleged incident on June 25 in which he is accused of robbing a man at gunpoint.

According to the probable cause affidavit for Nixon’s arrest, officers were dispatched just after 3 a.m. to Concord, where the victim reported his gun was taken from him by multiple black males wearing ski masks with guns.

“A group of black males including Nixon waited for the complainant to exit the sore before stealing the gun out of his pocket and pointing multiple guns back at him,” an officer reviewing surveillance footage swore in Robinson’s charging instrument.

Upon arrival, the officer observed a group of men matching the description given to exit the store and run north towards a vehicle. Additional officers on the scene detained Nixon, who was found possessing the stolen firearm.

Nixon was released on a $50,000 bond.
