Self-proclaimed ‘God’ arrested

A man who identi- fied himself as “God” was arrested July 10 by West Orange Police officers for trespassing at WalMart, according to KOGT.com.

Police reported John Giessinger, 50, was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing as, when officers arrived to address calls concerning the suspect, Giessinger was causing a scene on the property between the store and the gas station.

West Orange Assistant Police Chief Jessie Romero reported that extra units were called in because Giessinger fought with Pinehurst Police officers a few weeks before his most recent arrest.
