‘Bee’ a champion

St. Mary Catholic School in Orange announced 8th grader Jonathan Quintero as the 2021-2022 Spelling Bee Champion, with student Allie Broussard runner-up. Participants included a group of students, who judges say kept the group on their toes until the very end: Austin Bodin, Audrey Broussard, Abbie Ramsey, Paris Dugas, Beckham Curtis, Tyler Rodriguez, Tri Nguyen, Elijah Gomez, Elizabeth Khatt, Matthew Nguyen, Eva Culbertson, Rebecca Cooper, Josie Riedel, Thomasina Nguyen, Tristan Tran, Lauren Tran, Justin Khatt, Brennan Little, Tristan Balthazar, Luke Laughlin, Izzak Simon, Kaden Mangrum, Grace Wimberley, Catherine Doan and Allie Dickerson. Gary Stelly, Maureen McAllister and Mary McKenna served as judges.
