Good day for a great time at the fair

The YMBL South Texas State Fair has been an extraordinary experience for nearly eight decades. The fair continues to grow and make memories whether it’s the delicious fried foods, fun rides, rodeos or the more than 175 vendors – everyone has a great time at the fair.

Parades, beads, concerts and wolves, oh my!

Traditions of Mardi Gras can be traced to medieval Europe, which passed through Rome and Venice in the 17th and 18th Centuries to the French House of the Bourbons. In America, records indicate the first celebration came in 1703.

It’s now time for the Main Event

If Willy Wonka ever imagined a one-stop-shop entertainment facility for all to enjoy, this would have been the place. News was first broken by The Examiner in May of 2022 that Beaumont would be the next home for a Main Event.

The 53rd annual Groves Pecan Festival opens Thursday, Oct. 13 through Sunday, Oct. 16, at Lion’s Park (6200 Jackson) in the heart of Groves.
