If Willy Wonka ever imagined a one-stop-shop entertainment facility for all to enjoy, this would have been the place. News was first broken by The Examiner in May of 2022 that Beaumont would be the next home for a Main Event. Fast forward seven months later, “the most fun under one roof” is slated to open Friday, Jan. 20, at noon

Located at 5380 Rexora Drive near Walden Road, Main Event offers a unique “Eat.Bowl.Play.” experience featuring state-of-the-art bowling, multi-level laser tag, thrilling high ropes adventure courses, captivating game rooms featuring the latest video and amusement, stylish billiards, energetic bars and high-quality restaurants. In addition to providing free wi-fi, guests rave about the superior value of activities including happy hour specials, eat and play bundles, and the birthday, private and corporate parties/events. This 48,000-square foot facility has it all. The full-service restaurant, Family Kitchen, boasts a menu with delicious, highly rated elevated bites and a full bar with craft beers and unique craft cocktails.

According to Katie Broussard, West Brook graduate and Director of Operations, this is the 53rd location with six more ready to open later this year.

“We want to bring people together to make memories,” said Broussard. “Every guest, every time. We may not be perfect, but we are passionate about creating memories every time you are in Main Event. This community means a lot to me as does the Main Event brand, which I firmly believe in.”

For the grand opening, the first 200 people in line will win free laser tag for a year. Another grand opening promotion, Pins for a Purpose, involves bowling. Main Event will donate $10 (up to $10,000) to the Gift of Life every time a player bowls a strike on lane 10 from Jan. 21-27. Also, on Sunday, Jan. 22, families that order a Big Super Fun Sunday before 3 p.m. and can finish the dish withing 5 minutes, will get the sundae free of charge.

Monday Night Madness takes place Monday, Jan. 23, and includes “All You Can Play” games or activities for $11.99 after 4 p.m. On Tuesday, Jan. 24, kids eat free with a purchase of an entrée of $8.99 or more.

The menu at the Family Kitchen includes appetizers such as baked cheesy breadsticks, spinach dip, wings, chips and queso. There’s also a variety of burgers like the PBB&J Burger (two beef patties, American cheese, peanut butter, blueberry jam and applewood smoked bacon), chicken, pizza and more.

Main Event can also host birthday parties and corporate outings.

The first Main Event center opened in Lewisville, Texas, in 1998 because the founders believed that families deserved a better place than the league-driven, dusty bowling centers of the past. They developed an idea that became the first of its kind – a haven for families to share in a variety of activities like laser tag, gravity ropes, arcade games, billiards, and more, all under one (very big) roof. Now owned by Dave & Buster’s, the company now has nearly 200 entertainment centers scattered throughout the country and will soon build over international waters.
