The Symphony of Southeast Texas was originally scheduled to perform with Grammy-winning duo Marilyn and McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. on Saturday, March 4, but due an illness, the duo had to postpone.

The Symphony of Southeast Texas will present, “Liberty: The Pursuit of Endurance” on Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Julie Rogers Theatre at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $33 and can be purchased online at sost.org.

Cash awarded for concerto winners

The first-place winner of the Symphony of Southeast Texas 2023 Concerto Competition is pianist Matthew Liu from Beaumont. Liu won the prize of $750 and the honor of playing his competition piece, Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto in G minor, at the Youth Education Concert.

Home for the Holidays concert

The Symphony of Southeast Texas will perform their Home for the Holidays Concert on Sunday, Dec. 4, at 3 p.m. inside the Julie Rogers Theatre (765 Pearl St.) in downtown Beaumont.
