The Symphony of Southeast Texas was originally scheduled to perform with Grammy-winning duo Marilyn and McCoo and Billy Davis Jr. on Saturday, March 4, but due an illness, the duo had to postpone. He is known for powerful soul ballads (often as a duet with female singers) including the 1983 hit, “Tonight, I Celebrate My Love” with Roberta Flack. Popular songs are “If Ever You’re in My Arms Again,” “I Have Dreamed,” “Wishes,” “There’s Nothin’ Out There,” “Can You Stop the Rain,” “Without You,” “Gimme Some Time,” What You Won’t Do for Love,” “By the Time the Night is Over” and two songs used for Disney – “A Whole New World” with Regina Belle for the movie “Aladdin” and “Beauty and the Beast” with Celine Dion.

He released a new record, “Stand for Love,” in 2018, which was produced by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis.
