Men shot in Orange

Three men were shot in Orange over the holiday. Christmas Eve, Saturday, Dec. 24, officers with the city of Orange Police Department were dispatched to 2108 Link Avenue in reference to a welfare check.

Escapee captured

The Orange Police Department, Orange County Sheriff's Office, US Marshals, and the Texas Department of Public Safety executed an arrest warrant for Joseph Damon Gorney, an alleged criminal escapee, on Oct. 6.

Orange man shot in chest

Within hours, Orange police reported that detectives had a “person of interest” identified in connection to a June 17 shooting that sent one man to the hospital with a chest wound. Orange Police Department Captain W. K.

Armed suspicious person sought

Orange Police Department Captain R. Enmon reported on May 21 that the department is actively investigating a suspicious person who has been seen in the area of Sunset Drive.  “The suspect was seen checking doorknobs and looking through windows during early morning hours,” Enmon advised.

Prayer vigil to be held for three law enforcers battling medical issues

The Orange County Sheriff's Office (OCSO) plans to hold a public prayer vigil at Eastgate Pentecostal Church in Vidor on Monday, April 12, at 7 p.m. in honor of three local law enforcement officers currently battling medical conditions.

Orange reports double homicide

Jan. 23, just after 2:30 a.m., officers of the Orange Police Department were dispatched to the 2300 block of Coronado about a shooting victim. Officers arrived and located two persons with gunshot wounds. Thalamus Livings, 23, was deceased at the scene.

Police in Orange search for shooting suspect

Police in Orange are searching for a suspect who shot a 21-year-old resident multiple times before fleeing the scene. Officers with the Orange Police Department responded to a report of gunshots in the 400 block of Know Avenue at 7:42 p.m. on Nov. 16, Capt. Robert Enmon reports.
