On May 13, a local woman was sentenced to federal prison for possessing fentanyl for distribution in the Eastern District of Texas, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Abe McGlothin, Jr.

Drug dog finds crack in man's undergarments

After calling PAPD Canine Duc to a traffic stop, where the officer sniffed approximately three ounces of crack cocaine in a man’s underwear, police arrested a 52-year-old man April 26. At about 6 p.m., PAPD officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2900 block of 22nd Street.

PA driver caught with coke

During a Port Arthur traffic stop April 27, officers arrested a 29-year-old man after finding more than nine ounces of cocaine. At about 9:20 p.m., PAPD officers conducted a traffic stop in the 2400 block of W. Highway 73.
