Stolen scratch-off suspect sussed

After asking for the public’s help on Jan. 4 to identify a woman caught on surveillance camera stealing scratch-off lottery tickets, the Beaumont Police Department reports that community tips have led to the suspect’s identification.

Gold Pro ‘scam artist’ eyes bench trial

An allegedly duplicitous pecuniary profiteer accused of stealing more than $1.4 million from patrons nationwide asked a judge Jan. 9 for his case to be set for a bench trial. Michael James White, 34, CEO of Beaumont-based Gold Pro LLC.

Four teens arrested fleeing in stolen auto

Saturday, Jan. 7, Beaumont Police Department officers patrolling in the area of Lucas and Concord just before midnight observed a stolen Hyundai Elantra, according to a news release from the department.
