Man indicted for theft No. 6

Lou E. Mitchell, a 51year-old Beaumont man, was indicted by a Jefferson County grand jury Jan. 19 for felony theft – the sixth time he’s been handed down such a charge.

Jan. 24, The Texas Attorney General filed a third lawsuit against Google, again alleging that the company is systematically misleading and deceiving Texas consumers in violation of Texas’ Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

Son accused of robbing, assaulting elderly mother

Adrian Ray White, 44, was indicted Jan. 19 for injury to an elderly individual, the victim turning out to be his own mother. According to a report filed on Jan. 3 by officer Jonathan McCauley with the Beaumont Police Department, officers were called to the 3000 block of Saint James Blvd.
