Hundreds upon hundreds convened to Courville’s to honor longtime Texas Department of Public Safety Lieutenant Chuck Havard after 25 years of service in Southeast Texas. Family, friends, and coworkers from local, regional and statewide offices came to show their support for the longtime officer who has helped so many in the community. Texas Speaker of the House Dade Phelan and many others gave heartfelt speeches as guests dined on a delicious spread from Big Rich. The evening also featured entertainment from Casey Chesnutt.
