Mardi Gras Southeast Texas treasure hunt begins Feb. 10

As part of the Mardi Gras Southeast Texas event Febuary 13-15, organizers have announced the clue times and initial hints for its annual treasure hunt.

The hunt starts Febuary 10 at 7 p.m. and ends the following Sunday. Each day, there will be clue times for additional hints. These are:

  • Tuesday, February 10 at 7 p.m.
  • Wednesday, February 11 at 7 p.m.
  • Thursday, February 12 at 7 p.m.
  • Friday, February 13 at 8 p.m
  • Saturday, February 14 at 8 p.m.

If the treasure has not been found by 7 p.m. on Sunday, a bonus clue will be given. This year, the treasure is hidden in Downtown Beaumont, hidden in an accessible location, does not require destruction of property in order to find, will be an item with an identifiable code, and instructions on how to claim. The prize is a gift basket with $500 cash inside.

Organizers encourage those hunting for the treasure to be safe, respect other treasure hunters and follow the given directions to whoever finds it.
