CHRISTUS Health receives $200,000 gift

CHRISTUS Health celebrates $200,000 gift to support pediatric emergency care. The transformative gift from Panda Express through the Children's Miracle Network, funding Panda Cares Center of Hope pediatric emergency rooms and specialized equipment across CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Health System, serving the communities of Beaumont, Jasper, Orange, Mid-County and surrounding areas.

Jenny Kelly, RN at CHRISTUS, says "This funding will help in many pediatric areas including the Buzzy Bee, which helps start an IV much easier for our smaller children" Kelly also told The Examiner "We have vein finders that allow us to find their veins quicker so the child is not traumatized."

The rooms in the Pediatric Center are designed with a colorful decor, panda-themed art work and child-friendly features. The rooms help create a welcoming and reassuring environment for young patients. 

The gift from Panda Express is through Children's Miracle Network. Whenever you "Round-up" at Panda Express, that money goes to the Children's Miracle Network for projects like the Panda Cares Center at CHRISTUS.
