On Wednesday, Oct 14, the Bridge City Police Department received a call in reference to animal cruelty. A teenage boy is accused of torturing and killing a cat. It happened in the 6300 block of FM 1442.
The teen was identified through video surveillance and transported to the Minnie Rogers Juvenile Detention Center in Jefferson on Thursday, Oct 15.
Bridge City police was assisted by the Orange County District Attorney's Office and the Orange County Juvenile Probation Office. The Cruelty to Animal charge is a 3rd degree felony.
