A pit bull was shot and killed during an attack Wednesday afternoon in Beaumont. Police report three pit bulls broke out of their yard on Bryan Drive, jumped into the fenced backyard of a neighbor and attacked the homeowners dog. The woman at the home went outside to save her dog. One of the pit bulls charged towards her and she shot and killed the dog. The other two dogs went home and were eventually turned over to Beaumont Animal Care where they will be held for an investigation where it will be determined if the dogs will be deemed dangerous or not. The owner of the pit bulls was cited.
