Police in Groves are looking for a vehicle that left the scene Thursday morning after striking a student. Groves City Marshall Christopher Robbins told The Examiner the student was sitting at a stop sign on his bike at Madison and Main when the vehicle turned off of Main struck the child and kept going. Police are looking for a white "Jeep-like" vehicle. Marshall Robbins says the child was legally on his bike at the stop sign. He was transported to the Medical Center of Southeast Texas to be treated for minor injuries. Anyone with information is asked to call the Groves Police Department at 409-962-0244.
