To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, the Stark Museum of Art will present its new exhibition: America 250: Three Presidents - Lincoln, Grant, and Garfield. This exhibition features three watercolor paintings by Taos artist Oscar E. Berninghaus. Each painting shows a moment from the early life of Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant or James Garfield to demonstrate how the well-known leaders began as ordinary boys who worked hard and hoped for a better future.
The exhibition will open May 16 and will be on view until December 23, as part of the America 250 and SETX 250 celebrations taking place across Southeast Texas.
The Stark Museum of Art is located at 712 W. Green Ave. in Orange.
