City of Beaumont to host Lion Dance event Feb. 19

The City of Beaumont welcomes the community to celebrate the Lunar New Year with a dynamic Lion Dance performance in the heart of downtown on Thursday, February 19 from 5-6 p.m. at the Riverfront Park. Residents and visitors are invited to gather for a lively cultural celebration honoring the Year of the Horse.

This special event showcases the traditional Lion Dance, a time-honored art form believed to bring good fortune, prosperity, and health in the year ahead. Guests can enjoy the powerful rhythm of ceremonial drums, vibrant costumes, and high-energy choreography that together create an engaging and meaningful performance.

In addition to the Lion Dance performance, there will be interactive activity booths hosted by the Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), the Beaumont Children’s Museum, and the Beaumont Public Library, offering hands-on activities and family-friendly fun for all ages. Complimentary snacks provided by KO Korean will also be available for guests to enjoy during the event, offered while supplies last.
