7 Oaks Event Garden to host Dana Cooper on April 18

Dana Cooper is a poet, storyteller and songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee, who will perform in Southeast Texas on Tuesday, April 18, at 6:30 p.m. at Beaumont's 7 Oaks Event Garden (14865 Garner Road). Tickets are $25-$50 and can be purchased online at 7oakseventgarden.com.

Cooper's mixture of flat-picking, finger picking, and percussive strumming is "Legend Among Other Guitarists." His harmonica playing equally impressive. As one critic noted, "He sings like an angel and plays like the devil."

He is touring in support of his latest album, "I Can Face the Truth," which charted No. 22 on Americana Highways 2022 Chart.

Cooper's vast career began with a self-titled release on Elektra Records and his studio band consisted of legendary players Leland Sklar and Russ Kunkel. Known for insightful storytelling and songwriting, some of his many accolades include In the Spirit of Folk Award, Heritage Musician Award, Best Male Songwriter Award - Indie Acoustic Project, Best Record - The Tennesseean, Nashville Music Award Nomination Best Pop Album.
