The 2023 Mardi Gras season wrapped up Feb. 21 with its famed "Fat Tuesday" and thousands in Southeast Texas finished the party by attending the annual Taste of the Triangle at the Beaumont Civic Center. The 41st event was sold out and featured dozens of local restaurants and food trucks, who showcased their best bites all while raising money for the Sabine Area Restaurant Association.

Best Restaurant Booth: For the Love of Foods and 5 Under Golf Center (Tie)
2nd Place: KO Korean Foods
3rd Place: Benny's Pizza and 1701 Barbecue (Tie)
Best Decorated Booth: Soiree & Vine
Brandon Rodriquez, of Benny's Pizza, kept it big. He created the "largest stuffed garlic knot," which measured 30 inches from corner to corner, and was filled with boudin and brisket.
