One man is dead after he was stabbed during an altercation on Dec. 30, according to the Beaumont Police Department (BPD).
BPD reported that, at 6:30 a.m. on the eve of New Year’s Eve, officers responded to 1650 East Lucas, the Stone Hearst Apartments, in reference to a disturbance between two males. While en route, officers were notified that one of the males had been stabbed.
The victim, Jeremy Fuselier, 41, of Beaumont, was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.
Brien Cassimere, 38, of Beaumont, was detained at the scene and interviewed by detectives before being placed under arrest and transported to the Jefferson County Jail. He was charged with murder and bond set at $750,000.
