The U.S. Utilities Market Size and Household Spending Report for 2022, released by doxoINSIGHT, reports that household expenses in Beaumont, on average, are 16.7% lower than the national average of $2,003, and 14.7% lower than the state average of $1,956.
According to company spokesperson Liz Powell, Director of doxoINSIGHTS, the 2022 spending report “examines how much Americans spend on utility bills,” including electric, gas, water and sewer, and waste and recycling.
“The report,” she added, “looks at utility bills from both a local and national perspective.”
Information provided by Powell showed that, for 2022, utility bills in Beaumont averaged $242 per month, compared to the state average of $263 spent per month, and national average of $328 spent per month. Additionally, data detailed that, with the average household paying $1,668 a month for the 10 most common household bills, Beaumont ranks as the No. 172 most expensive city in Texas for household expenses.
