The Tuesday after Thanksgiving has been known as “Giving Tuesday” throughout the country for a number of years. This year, ExxonMobil carried on that tradition by giving back to Beaumont ISD.
At a presentation held at Lamar Institute of Technology, members of the ExxonMobil leadership team presented Beaumont ISD administrators and student representatives with a donation of $33,000 to be used toward the areas of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and for the continuation of the dual-credit offerings between BISD and Lamar Institute of Technology.
“Our partnership with ExxonMobil has been one that we are extremely proud of,” said Dr. Shannon Allen, Superintendent of Schools. “They not only provide for our district monetarily, but also through their time mentoring and volunteering with our students. We are so incredibly grateful to have industry partners who are invested in our community.”
