Power pay

At the June 16 Beaumont ISD board meeting, trustees reviewed and approved the 2022-23 compensation package that will increase starting teacher pay from $49,000 to $50,000, as well as offer a $1,200 general pay raise (2.25%) for teachers, reading and math coaches, librarians, nurses and 504/RTI coordinators. All other employees receive a 2% increase from the midpoint, a $10 a day increase for substitute teachers ($100 daily, $105 with degree), and a one-time stipend for all employees of $1,000.

A retention stipend is included for all employees at 4% of base salary, not to exceed $2,922, and a longevity stipend of $50 per consecutive year of service to BISD. Equity adjustments will be offered for principals, special education aides and teacher career path positions, if applicable.
