LSCO celebrates record graduation numbers

Lamar State College Orange announced that a record number of 763 degrees and certificates were awarded during the 2022-2023 academic year. This represents a 20% increase in the number of degrees and certificates awarded from the 2021-2022 academic year.

Fire department receives new equipment

The Port Arthur Fire Department (PAFD) received AutoPulse lifesaving equipment for Fire Station No. 3 in the Port Acres area. According to Fire Chief Gregory Benson, the AutoPulse devices added to PAFD have been beneficial in managing patients in cardiac arrest.

Entergy supports books at the push of a button

During a noon event held at the Guess Elementary School Library on Sept. 25, Entergy Texas donated $50,000 to the United Way of Beaumont and North Jefferson County to support a new book vending machine program for the Beaumont Independent School District.
