Beaumont man dies from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning

Friday, Aug. 28, at 3:51pm, Beaumont Police Officers responded to the 200 block of  N 7th St. in reference a deceased person.  Alphonso Devon Williams, a 61-year-old Beaumont man, was found deceased inside the locked upstairs garage apartment by the maintenance man and family.

Entergy restoration update for Southeast Texas

Entergy Texas crews continue to make progress to restore outages following the impacts of Hurricane Laura’s destructive storm surge, wind and flooding. More than 7,000 people have been mobilized across Southeast Texas to complete Entergy Texas’ restoration efforts.

Orange Co. has lifted mandatory evacuation order

Orange County Judge John Gothia is lifting the Mandatory Evacuation Order as of 5 pm this evening, Aug. 28, 2020 for all of Orange County. Citizens that come back to the county need to be self-sufficient due to the major power outages within the county.

Entergy reports phone scams targeting its customers

H-E-B to resume regular hours

As areas affected by Hurricane Laura begin the road to recovery, H-E-B has announced that all Golden Triangle stores are open.   The following stores in the Golden Triangle are OPEN until at least 8 p.m. Friday, August 28, and will open at normal busines hours tomorrow, Saturday, August 29.

Three PA residents die from suspected improper generator usage

The Port Arthur community lost three people to the suspected improper use of a generator Aug. 28, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.  Several more people are in critical condition.

Entergy ends rolling blackouts

From Entergy VP of customer service Stuart Barret: Around midnight, our reliability coordinator, MISO, cancelled its order for periodic power outages in the Entergy Texas region. Shortly after this, Entergy Texas returned all customers who were affected by these rotating outages back in service.
