Armed home invader shot in PA

After hearing three armed men break into his home and hold his family at gunpoint Dec. 27, a 29-year-old Port Arthur man armed himself and shot one of the invaders, according to a news release, causing the other two to flee.

Beaumont police investigating homicide

On Friday, December 25, 2020 at 1:55 a.m., Beaumont Police responded to the End-Zone Sports Lounge located at 3430 Concord Road in reference to a victim of a shooting. When Officers arrived they located the victim in the parking lot unresponsive suffering from a gun shot wound.

Dec. 20, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office reported that several unlocked vehicles were burglarized at the AAA RV Park, 4656 S. Garden Drive, in Beauxart Gardens, around 5:30 a.m.

Gunman robs PA game room patron

Around 7:30 p.m. Dec. 22, Port Arthur police responded to the Bida Vinh game room in reference to a robbery, according to a news release.  Upon arrival, officers learned that two men, of whom one was armed, entered the game room and approached a patron.

Second man arrested for November murder

Around 2 p.m. Dec. 23, Beaumont police announced the arrest of a murder suspect believed to have taken part in the Nov. 22 crime on Glasshouse Street.  BPD arrested Joseph Gerard Matthews Dec. 23 after the wanted man spent a month with detectives on his trail. Jacoby Jackson was killed Nov.

Dec. 22, the White House released word that President Donald Trump utilized one of his last days in office to grant full pardons to 15 individuals and commute part or all of the sentences of an additional five individuals, including former Southeast Texas Congressman Steven Stockman.
