Beaumont police were at Rogers Park April 23 after vandals destroyed tents and campaign signs — only targeting black candidates running for municipal offices.  City Councilwoman Robin Mouton’s campaign tent was found with broken legs, and several of her signs were removed from the ground.

Motorists reported a “major” accident where a construction crane fell on a truck and killed two people at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday on I-10 in the area of Smith Road.  Near mile marker 844, witnesses saw part of a crane crush a 2013 Toyota truck almost beyond recognition.

The Beaumont Public Health Department has opened up 700 additional vaccine appointments for Friday, April 16, 2021 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., according to a news release. Additional appointments are available Saturday, April 24, as well as throughout the week.
