Beaumont confirms 159 new COVID cases

At least 159 Beaumont-area residents tested positive for COVID-19 Aug. 10, according to data from the city's public health department, while Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) data shows that Jefferson County has confirmed 924 cases in the past week.

Stabbing suspect sought

At about 10:30 p.m. Aug. 6, Port Arthur Police Department (PAPD) officers responded to the 900 block of Main Avenue in reference to a stabbing.
According to a PAPD news release, officers located a black woman suffering from a single stab wound to the hand.
