Eight horses were killed in a barn fire on Oct. 4 near Tyrrell Park, reported the Beaumont Fire Department (BFD).
BFD responded to the fire about 11 p.m. in the 5500 block of Downs Road. The barn was owned by the 10/4 Riders, a local trail-riding group. Two horses survived the blaze.
