An area man was arrested on felony child sex charge, according to a Silsbee Police Department arrest report. Jan. 11, Christopher Scott Sundgren, 40, was arrested for aggravated sexual assault of a child, a first-degree felony.

Feds sentence felon for firearm

Edward Lee Simien, 43, pleaded guilty on Sep. 9, 2022, to possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and was sentenced to 41 months (three years and five months) in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Marcia A. Crone.
