July 6, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a business on S. Huntington Street in Sulphur in reference to an internal theft.
During the initial investigation the complainant advised deputies one of the employees, Ashley E. Bourgeois, 35, had been using a company credit card for her personal use. The initial investigation revealed Bourgeois stole over $9,000 since December 2021.
Bourgeois, who was terminated at the time of the discovery, was then arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and released the following day on a $7,500 bond set by Judge
Clayton Davis.
